About Us
San Jacinto Valley Mortuary was opened July 19, 2002. We are family owned and operated. Our funeral directors, counselors and staff represent over 140 years of funeral service experience.
Jack Gerbl is a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and has been in the funeral service since 1980. He is licensed as a funeral director, embalmer, crematory manager, and has a life insurance license to write funeral pre-arrangements. He has served as the president of the Orangebelt Funeral Directors, Cemetery and Crematory Association and currently serves on their board of directors.
Tammy Gerbl is a funeral director and crematory manager and has been active in funeral service since 1998. Tammy has a B.A. from Lubbock Christian University in Lubbock, Texas. She stands ready to answer your questions and assist you.
Cheri Gerbl is a funeral director and crematory manager and serves as the managing funeral director for the mortuary. Cheri has been active in funeral service in many aspects since 1998. It is her desire to listen to her families and understand what they want and to provide what is requested. Cheri, as well as all the staff at San Jacinto Valley Mortuary, will never try to “sell” you anything that you don’t want or need. You will find her very easy to talk with.
James King has been active in funeral service since 1994. He started San Jacinto Valley Mortuary in 2002 to serve families of the Hemet-San Jacinto Valley. James was a minister with the Church of Christ for over 50 years, but after retirement still had the heart of a servant. He felt that he could help and comfort families on one of the worst days of their life. James has been a tremendous asset to the mortuary. He is semi-retired, but when he is in California we are blessed with his knowledge and abilities and his dedication to service to our families.
Jeff Gerbl has been working in funeral service Since 2005. Jeff is primarily responsible for logistics. He is our transportation expert.
Clarice Gerbl is in charge of our I.T. department. She develops and produces all of our computer-generated products. She brings over 12 years of experience and service to the mortuary. She has contributed all the photos you see on this website.
